An Evening of Music and Entertainment: 13 March 2010 at 8pm

Following highly successful events over the past few years, VRG is planning another extravaganza of talent and entertainment to be held on 13 March 2010 at 8 pm.

Previous years’ events have featured jazz, folk, pop, classical, show songs, poetry and story-telling. The evening provides a platform for all types and styles of entertainment in front of the most supportive, enthusiastic, yet discerning audience you could hope to find. The lower room at the Church Hall will once again be transformed into a cabaret club with candlelit tables and snacks.

Thanks to those who have already expressed an interest in performing. Could we now ask everyone else if they would like to participate, either with a self-contained solo or ensemble piece OR as a performer in an ‘ad hoc’ group.

If you can play an instrument get in touch with John or Mick. If you sing, please get in touch with Paul. If the spoken word is your thing, then please contact Mary. Once we know who is available and interested, we can find pieces to perform, and if necessary arrange them to suit the performers.

This is definitely one of Victoria Road’s most entertaining events. The talent on this road is amazing, and variety – from story-telling to a wide range of musical talent. A must see!

Hi, I tried to post a thread but found that I can’t log in in order to do so. I think the only people that can actually log in are the moderators – certainly neither my User Name nor email address are recognised when I try to do so.

I wanted to raise the issue of car clubs, following the success of the one in East Oxford. Can someone set up thread on this?
