Gardening Tips for the Road

Please make suggestions for gardening on our road. What should we plant? When to plant? When to trim? Availability of cuttings, etc.

We have a hedge in our back garden that really needs to be cut back, but my spouse believes that we should not trim it until Spring. Could I trim it now, in early March, or should I wait?

I decided to trim it in early April. Results to be reported in due course.

Hi, I dunno about the hedge, although mine seems to enjoy being hacked on any time of the year. I saved the cuttings and after a year lounging on the pile they made a dandy blaze in my chiminea!

But on another note, does anybody have a pressure washer I can borrow? My north-facing patio stones are getting pretty slick with moss and I’d like to give the whole back area a good clean, when the weather warms up!
